After wandering through mankind’s irradiated ruins on EXTINCTION LEVEL and AFTERGLOW, and exploring the abyss of SUNKEN FLEET, Anchor and Burden now ascend into the radiant light of their new album, SUN MAZE.
The Berlin-based progressive avant-garde doom-jazz post-metal group is known for a dark and mysterious sound. This time they take a respite and bask in warm, healing music. Their signature elements remain: hypnotic polyrhythmic grooves, tasteful and virtuosic touch guitars, and shimmering, rippling synths. Across four extended compositions, SUN MAZE is held together by a core of unquenchable, unfaltering hope.
From the ruins to the deep, and now toward the sun: this is the band’s brightest voyage yet.
